One night when his allergies flared up, he threw a tarp over the bed of his pick up truck and slept in the back. When he awoke, he could not believe the amazing night sleep he just had in the great outdoors. After conducting some research, he noticed a gap in the recreational industry between ground tents and expenses RVs. In 1990, Roman founded Napier Enterprises and launched the first Sportz Original Truck Tent.
