MKI models featured a range of four-cylinder engines with displacements from 1.1 to 1.6 L all featuring a single overhead camshaft and 2 valves per cylinder. The MK-II generation brought with it a new 1.3 L base engine and an optional 1.8L, double overhead camshaft motor featuring 4 valves per cylinder. Although the 16 valve 1.8 brought added performance to the range, it proved a somewhat questionable choice, as late A2 Golf GTIs were available with a more powerful 16 valve 2.0 L motor. This was, however, not questionable at the time since the 2.0 L 16-V motor did not show up in America until 1990, two years after the demise of the Scirocco Exhaust. Still, the European 1.8 16v that was fitted into Scirocco Exhaust 2 GTX 16-v model developed 139 HP, overcome only by the A3 generation 2.0 16-v with 150 HP.
Do you like loud or soft Scirocco Exhaust? Or do you simply want to change the look of your vehicles appearance. An Scirocco Exhaust can serve as performance upgrade, sound or visual. An Scirocco Exhaust is a great way to make your car perform and sound good. Impress your friends when you floor your vehicle with a nice throaty sound. Original mufflers are usually made from cheap metals that rust, while new mufflers we sell are made from high quality stainless steel. Furthermore, aftermarket mufflers weight much less than stock mufflers. What this means to you is, if your looking for best performance, shedding every weight from your car is going to increase your HP to weight ratio. Scirocco Exhaust sound varies from manufacture to manufacture so its best to ask or hear a car in person before decided to buy that particular Scirocco Exhaust.
