The SC Spoilers 300 and SC Spoilers 400 were mid-sized coupes available in the United States with a 3.0 L inline 6 2JZ-GE(225 hp and 210 ftlbf, SC Spoilers 300) or a 4.0 L V8 1UZ-FE (250 hp and 260 ftlbf, SC Spoilers 400). In Japan, an additional engine choice was a 2.5 L twin-turbo inline 6, good for 276 hp on the Toyota Soarer 2.5GT-T/TL. The V8 1UZ-FE motor, also used in the LS 400, was reported to have cost over US $400,000,000 in research and development. In 1996, the SC Spoilers400's engine design was upgraded to 260 hp from 250 hp. In 1998, both the SC Spoilers300 and 400 were upgraded with VVT-i and thus the ratings were raised to 290 hp/300 ftlbf of torque for the SC Spoilers400 and 225 hp/220 ftlbf of torque for the SC Spoilers300. Tests conducted on the new engines showed an acceleration for the SC Spoilers400 of 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds, and for the SC Spoilers300 an acceleration of 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds.

SC Spoilers are installed on the trunk of your car. One easy way to make your car look good is to add a spoiler. SC Spoilers are easy to install and an effective way to make the rear end look sportier and give some aerodynamics to your vehicle. One thing you should be concerned about when you purchase your wing is to get it painted. But don't get it painted until you have test fitted it on your vehicle. Sometimes the wrong spoiler could be shipped to you. Or, maybe you just ordered the wrong model without realizing. Regardless a test fit is essential to see how well it fits. Make sure the paint that is applied blends in with the rest of your paint. Don't go cheap. You can paint it for about $150 roughly if you shop around.
