Pontiac cancelled its Sunbird subcompact after 13 years and launched a new sunfire Suspension for 1995, sharing its front drive chassis and mechanical components with Chevrolet's Cavalier. 2 airbags and antilock brakes were standard, along with a tachometer and a tilt steering wheel. At first, this car was available as a 4-door sedan and a coupe. Later in the season came a convertible and a sportier GT coupe model. SE models used a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engine, rated at 120 HP. A 150-HP, 2.3-liter Quad 4 with dual overhead camshafts was standard in the GT, optional in SE. A 5-speed manual transmission was standard; 3-speed automatic transmission optional with the 2.2-liter, 4-speed automatic with the Quad 4 option. This is a great car with good economy for most people.
sunfire Suspension makes a huge difference on a cars performance. Do you want to drop your car? Or maybe you're interested in the performance aspect. The sunfire Suspension ins your vehicle can make a huge different on the ride and look. If its too spongy it will be hard to take fast corners. If its too high it will make big wheels look funny, kind of like a SUV. I'm sure you don't want to make your vehicle that you spent so much money yon looking funky? All it takes is the right shock/coilover and strut to make your car slammed. Its not always good to go too low as you can scratch your bumper or damage the bottom of your car on bumpers and pot holes.
