Deville was redesigned with all new styling for 00, losing some of the traditional look. Wheel base grew by 1.5 in, but the body actually was two inches shorter and narrower than before. DHS DeVille Suspension High Luxury Sedan and DTS DeVille Suspension Touring Sedan models were added, replacing the DElegance and Concours editions. Under the hood sat familiar Northstar V-8 engines, making 300 horsepower in the DTS and 275 HP in other models. Traction control and all disc anti-lock braking were standard. Standard on DTS were Cadillac's StabiliTrak antiskid system optional on other models and a Continuously Variable Road Sensing Suspension.
DeVille Suspension makes a huge difference on a cars performance. Do you want to drop your car? Or maybe you're interested in the performance aspect. The DeVille Suspension ins your vehicle can make a huge different on the ride and look. If its too spongy it will be hard to take fast corners. If its too high it will make big wheels look funny, kind of like a SUV. I'm sure you don't want to make your vehicle that you spent so much money yon looking funky? All it takes is the right shock/coilover and strut to make your car slammed. Its not always good to go too low as you can scratch your bumper or damage the bottom of your car on bumpers and pot holes.
