2 distinct models resulted from the redesign of Mazda's front drive subcompact for 1990 & 1991: a 2-door hatchback, again called 323 Suspension; and a longer, more costly 4 door sedan named Protege. Though similar in front-end appearance, the two shared no sheet metal. An 82-hp, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine again powered the 323 Suspension. A 5-speed manual gearbox was standard; 4-speed automatic optional. Mazda 323 Suspension 1993 Base and SE editions went on sale. The latter got cloth upholstery instead of vinyl, as well as tinted glass and upgraded interior trim. Motorized front shoulder belts and manual lap belts were installed.
323 Suspension makes a huge difference on a cars performance. Do you want to drop your car? Or maybe you're interested in the performance aspect. The 323 Suspension ins your vehicle can make a huge different on the ride and look. If its too spongy it will be hard to take fast corners. If its too high it will make big wheels look funny, kind of like a SUV. I'm sure you don't want to make your vehicle that you spent so much money yon looking funky? All it takes is the right shock/coilover and strut to make your car slammed. Its not always good to go too low as you can scratch your bumper or damage the bottom of your car on bumpers and pot holes.
