VW's Cabrio Spoilers is based on the mid 90s front drive Golf hatchback and Jetta sedan. It replaced the old Rabbit-based Cabrio Spoilerslet. Dual air-bags and antilock brakes were standard, and the soft top opened manually. The glass rear window incorporated a defogger. A fixed roll bar added structural rigidity and provided mounting points for height adjustable manual front seat-belts. Sole engine was a 115 hp, 2-liter 4-cylinder.
